'UFO Shuts Down Russian Airport'
An airport in southern Siberia was shut down for an
hour and a half on Friday when an unidentified flying
object (UFO) was detected hovering above its runway,
the Interfax news agency reported.
The crew of an
II-76 cargo aircraft refused to take off, claiming
they saw a luminescent object hovering above the
runway of the Siberia's Barnaul airport, local
aviation company director Ivan Komarov was quoted as
saying.
The crew of another cargo plane, refusing to use the
runway for the same reason, landed their jet at
another airport, Komarov said.
The UFO took off and vanished from the airport 90
minutes later, according to the report.

Mexico is where the huge and dramatic wave
of sightings of disc Craft began between 1990
and 1993. Mexico shares a border with the USA.
Perhaps the flyers of these Craft did not want
to demonstrate against aircraft in the USA for
specific reasons, and therefore picked an
adjacent country which does not have the same
military connections to the USA, as for
instance, Canada has. |
Throughout 1999 and 2000, numerous reports were coming
from Mexico stating that airliners approaching and
leaving airfields in Mexico, were being accompanied at
very close distances by unidentified craft.
Pilots were considerably alarmed by this obvious spate
of close attention.
I will try and collect several news reports of this
wave of interest by UFOs in the activities of 'normal'
airplane activity, however, I read many of these
Mexican 'Airliners & UFOs' reports in the weekly
mailed 'Filer's Files' - collected, global
reports of sightings of UFOs.
