Hovering, Intense White Light and Red 'Balls' Flying Straight

Last night, I was staying at my girlfriend's house. I was sleeping in the spare room which fortunately has no blinds/curtains to obscure my view of the sky, which I like, as I am fascinated by looking up at the stars in the hope of seeing a UFO. Unfortunately, I don't have a camera. However, even if I did, I wouldn't have rushed for it, as I was so amazed and shocked at what I was lucky enough to witness.

Looking out of the window, to the right, in the direction of Sainsbury / Asda, four red, balls of light rose up above the tree line, and then started moving towards the left.

The best thing about it was, even more started popping up, and moving in the same direction. All in all, I counted about 13 or 14 of them.

Chinese Lanterns you think to yourself. But no. These were not bobbing about like a CL would, these were moving in straight lines, just as a plane would if you watched it in the sky.

As the red balls of light carried on moving, then hovering... and they faded until nothing could be seen, I thought it was over, but all of a sudden, in the same position I last saw them, they reappeared. But this time they were white lights, not red, and then shot straight up into the sky... for as far as I could see, and then vanished!

The whole thing probably lasted 5 minutes tops, I just wish it lasted longer.

I also saw another unidentifiable object, which was a bright, white light.. almost as bright as the street light. No doubt about it, it was either a very, very low bright star, or, a UFO hovering, in the same position, for hours on end.

If you have ever seen a plane flying directly towards you, it's a bright light, and eventually, when close enough, veers of in another direction, which I have seen before and expected to happen this time. But it didn't move for hours, until I fell asleep.
